With our background of working with fabricators we believe that we can add value with the sole aim of saving you time by ironing out the problems that usually occur a few weeks before steel hits site, this in turn could also save you money.
Current Process
Currently the process involves the engineer producing a LOD 300 model, from which 2D drawings are produced that are then passed onto the fabricator. Typically the fabricator will then produce a detailed LOD 400 model and set of GAs for approval by the design team from the engineers 2D drawings. During this process a large amount of RFIs are also raised due to missing information. We think this process is inefficient and has adverse effects on both costs and programme.
Our Alternative Process
Our alternative process involves us working closely with your engineer, taking either their analysis model or LOD 300 model and importing it into Tekla Structures. Once the initial design model is in Tekla, we can begin to coordinate and collaborate with all project stakeholders to produce a data rich extremely accurate 3D model. Once the model is complete and a fabricator selected the model can be shared via Tekla Model Sharing.
